MEET KAY

I'm Akaylah, a 21-year-old photographer, proud Christian, and a dedicated psychology student at Western Michigan University. Photography has been my true calling since I was a sophomore in high school, and I've had the incredible privilege of turning my passion into my profession for the past seven years.

My journey into photography has been an unforgettable one. As the oldest child of my mom and the youngest of my dad's, family has always been at the heart of everything I do. I cherish those connections, and they often inspire my work, capturing the raw beauty of familial bonds and the warmth of togetherness.

When I'm not behind the lens, you'll often find me by the water's edge. Our family cottage is my personal sanctuary, a place where I find solace and endless inspiration. I'm a firm believer that nature holds its own magic, which is why I'm an avid nature walker in my spare time. There's something deeply therapeutic about immersing myself in the great outdoors, seeking beauty in the simplest of moments.

In addition to my love for photography, I have a teacup Yorkie named Pita who is a constant source of joy. I'm a devoted believer in the Lord and hold a deep conviction that we were put on this earth to spread the love of God through our crafts. My favorite color is pink, and I have a soft spot for psychological thriller movies. To me, there's no season quite as magical as fall. my favorite dish is the irresistible Chicken Parmesan. Also a weird quirk about me is i like to drink orange juice at in point in the day.
